Welcome to CSR-pedia (beta)

CSR Programs by Socially Responsible Companies

CSR-pedia is a fully searchable website that categorizes, catalogs, and describes corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs developed by companies to help solve social and environmental problems around the world.

The two main features of this website are the CSR-pedia Program Directory, and the CSR-pedia Socially Responsible Business List. Both features are integrated to create a unique global perspective from which to look at the multifaceted growth of corporate social responsibility.

CSR-pedia Program Directory

In the CSR-pedia Program Directory, each socially responsible and/or environmentally sustainable activity is categorized by:

Each program includes a source URL that directly links to the business' website providing further details on the activity.

Corporate social responsibility programs were first entered and categorized by a researcher and then edited by a second researcher to assure categorization accuracy. The CSR-pedia Program Directory Category Guidelines provide the foundation of the directory's category system.

Socially Responsible Business List

The Socially Responsible Business List consists of international companies that engage in major socially responsible acticities. Companies are currently being selected based on prevalence in CSR literature.

In addition to company name, if available, the contact information for the executive responsible for CSR activities is also listed. Major CSR Awards won by socially responsible companies are included in the list and attributed to those companies.

The CSR-pedia Project is ongoing and currently in beta. We are constantly adding both new programs and new companies. If your are interested in having business' programs included, you may contact the CSR-pedia Development Team for consideration.
