Accenture Development Partnerships, a CSR Program by Accenture Ltd.

“Accenture Development Partnerships is a nonprofit organisation that provides high-quality consulting services to donors, non-governmental organisations and other nonprofit entities working in developing countries,” according to the Accenture Web site.

It is “a unique not-for-profit business model that provides consulting expertise to the international development sector at a much reduced cost while the Accenture employee takes a 50% salary cut. In 2006 alone Accenture Development Partnerships delivered more than 58,000 hours of consulting services to 23 international organizations in 30 countries,” according to the Accenture Web site.

There is a great need for business and technology consulting expertise in developing areas, but the cost of delivery has kept Accenture out of those areas. Accenture delivers “tangible value at a much reduced cost with no compromise in the quality or rigor of our contribution. We draw on Accenture's core skills of high-quality business and technology consulting, and offer them to NGOs and donor organizations to help them achieve their goals at rates aligned to development sector norms,” according to the Accenture Web site.
