Adi Dassler Fund Programmes-Right To Play, a CSR Program by adidas-Salomon Group
The adidas Brand and its employees around the world give financial assistance to The Adi Dassler Fund, which "supports organizations that connect children with coaches and programs to teach life values in addition to sport." The Right To Play program uses designed sports programs to improve health, foster peace for children and communities affected by war, poverty and disease and build life skills.
In 2007, The Adi Dassler Fund, adidas and Right To Play developed the "Red Ball Campaign." This program provided financial supports and products to Right To Play programs around the world. It also raised awareness of the program's cause and showed the power that sports can have on changing the lives of children.
Adidas supplied 100,000 full-sized footballs for Right To Play to use in its programs. Adidas also had a retail campaign in retail and factory outlet stores and the Right To Play program was featured in these stores. The red mini-football was also sold and all proceeds were donated to Right To Play. Adidas plans to run this campaign for one month each year for the next four years.
