Care Principles, a CSR Program by 3i Group PLC

3i's Eurofund IV invested £54m in 2005 to enable a management buyout of Care Principles, a health care company based in the UK. 3i Group’s investment helped the NHS and Social Services meet public policy goals in areas such as learning disability and mental health. The investment also boosted employment: in 10 years, Care Principles went from start-up to a company with 1,400 employees.

Care Principles provides specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with learning difficulties, personality disorders and autistic spectrum disorders.

Social benefit is core business for Care Principles. A key part of the company's approach is to work in partnership with families, carers, clinicians and local agencies. With the work and guidance of its senior clinical teams, many of whom are internationally recognized for their expertise, Care Principles is redefining the care, management and treatment of its patients and residents.

The company looks for and sees the positives within each individual and helps them gain the skills and confidence to modify their behavior as they make their journey towards greater independence and a better quality of life.
