Community Disaster Relief, a CSR Program by The DIRECTV Group, Inc.

Over the years, DIRECTV has offered its services to aid communities and city organizations in the event of natural disasters. Amid the destruction of Hurricane Katrina (September 2005), the Perú Earthquake (August 2007), and the Southern California Wildfires (October 2007), DIRECTV provided equipment, installation, and free service in shelters throughout the devastated regions. In addition to supplies, cash contributions, which were given to organizations such as the American Red Cross, the International Red Cross and other relief organizations, were provided by DIRECTV and its employees.
