Education Initiative, a CSR Program by Applied Materials Inc.

Applied Materials created the education initiative in 2002. It focuses on investing in the education of children in underserved communities. The initiative focuses on all levels of education, from pre-school all the way through the completion of college.
Applied invests more then $2 million a year in San Jose, California and in Austin, Texas.
The initiative also focuses on the development of teachers and creates learning experiences for them.
