Forest Ecosystem Conservation Projects, a CSR Program by Ricoh Company, Ltd.
Ricoh supports forest ecosystem conservation on a global scale. Through the protection of biodiversity of species that dwell in these forest ecosystems, Ricoh aims to protect and cultivate all local inhabitants, both man and animal. Ricoh has partnered with environmental organizations such as, the Green-Culture Association, the World Wildlife Fund, Conservation International, Bird Life Asia, Friends of the Earth Japan, Yanbaru Forest Trust, and the C.W. Nicol Afan Woodland Trust, to further protect at-risk ecosystems and endangered animals. Funding for these activities is provided for by reserve funding which is comprised of 1 percent of Ricoh’s annual profit (up to ¥0.2 billion). These activities take place in the Republic of Ghana, east Russia, the Philippine islands, Borneo, Japan, Brazil, and China.
