Global Garden Products, a CSR Program by 3i Group PLC

3i Group’s Eurofund V invested €260m in December 2007 to support the buyout, growth and development of Global Garden Products (GGP), a manufacturer of powered garden equipment based in Italy, because of the company’s commitment to a sensitive ecological approach.

GGP’s strategic goal is to meet higher environmental standards. GGP plans to spend 3 percent of sales revenue on research and development in the next few years, with an emphasis on meeting the best environmental criteria.

Sourcing and planned production in developing countries, such as China, are meanwhile helping to spread the social returns worldwide.
