Global Microfinance, a CSR Program by Co-operative Group Limited

The Co-operative Bank, a branch of the Co-Operative Group, has established a $50 million (£25m) fund to support the development of small businesses through microfinance. Through this fund poor workers (small farmers, fishermen, street vendors, cobblers, etc.) in poverty stricken countries are able to acquire loans to further business operations and entrepreneurial ideas.
