Merrill Lynch UNA Global Classrooms, a CSR Program by Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc.

"Merrill Lynch is the global sponsor of the Global Classrooms® program, a hands-on educational initiative in partnership with UNA-USA (United Nations Association of the United States of America) that teaches young people about diplomacy, international affairs, world cultures and the workings of the United Nations. It also exposes young people to the dynamics of a global economy and its interplay in world affairs.
Merrill Lynch made a $7.5 million grant to the United Nations Association of the United States of America to extend the Global Classrooms program to 14 countries and to develop a new curriculum to engage students in global trade, finance and development. Merrill Lynch volunteers worldwide bring a personal touch to the program, as curriculum reviewers, mentors, coaches for students and teachers, and competition judges.

Through this new partnership, Global Classrooms now reaches thousands of students worldwide, while drawing on Merrill Lynch volunteers' intimate understanding of capital markets to expose, educate and engage them."
