The Environmental Attitude Program, a CSR Program by CVRD

Minas Gerais, the first component of the initiative, involves 23,000 employees who educate others on recycling and education. The Environmental Attitude Program creates educational workshops to increase awareness of environmental issues facing the world today. Canaã dos Carajás, the second part of the initiative, focuses on academic education such as mathematics with an environemtal theme. In 2002, the theme chosen, “water supply,” allowed students to develop an open forum to discuss water paths in their districts, drawing and creating a model of sewage models. Tubarão, the third part of the project, focuses on everyday sustainability. The goal is to reach upward of 15,000 people by the end of 2008.
